Xing En, a strong and brave young lady has shown us how despite all the challenges that she faced in her life, to continue pursuing her passion in Literature study so that she can contribute back to the society. Xing En lost her sight at age 2 when she was diagnosed with a rare disease by the name of Retinitis Pigmentosa,

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a rare, genetic disorder that involves the breakdown and loss of cells in the retina. There is currently no known cure for retinitis pigmentosa. Common symptoms include difficulty seeing at night and a loss of side (peripheral) vision.

Despite what challenges in life that Xing En is experiencing, this does not deter her from chasing her dream of becoming a literature teacher.

It is a pleasure to see the close bonding between both Xing En and her mother. This video has moved me to tears and serve as a strong reminder to all of us to value what we have in life and not focus on what we do not have.

Thanks to Guanyin Citta Dharma Door and Guanyin Bodhisattva for blessing Xing En and giving her the wisdom, strength and courage to live a meaningful and beautiful life. I am sure Xing En will be able to rise to her true potential and achieve many great things in life!

Thanks to Xing En, her mother Madam Lee and WTTV for the sharing such a touching video!
